A series of infographics showing the Census 2011 data on immigration. The figures look alarming as the estimated number of 2 million Polish people is currently living abroad, stating unemployment and poverty amongst main reasons to leave homeland. Using the symbol of Polish national flag, and by removing the relevant percentage, I intended to emphasise the idea of disintegration. I was inspired by KP Brehmer’s commenting on the everyday life in a post-war, capitalist West Germany, through the intelligent play with methods and media used in advertisement. As infographics requires commonly understood and recognisable symbols or associations, the final outcome becomes a strong, clear and coherent message.
